Home Screen
Understanding the SoftSDC home screen and status indicators
Overview
The home screen is your main dashboard for monitoring SoftSDC's operational status. It provides real-time visibility into various system components, including API service status, security element connectivity, and network availability.
First-Time Card Reader Connection
When you insert a card reader for the first time, you'll need to explicitly grant the application permission to access this hardware device. This security measure ensures that only authorized applications can communicate with sensitive peripherals like smart card readers.
The system will display a permission dialog box where you must select "Ok" or "Grant Permission" to enable SoftSDC to establish a connection with the card reader. This is a standard security practice across modern operating systems that protects your private keys and credentials from potentially being accessed by unauthorized applications.
Dashboard Components
The home screen displays a comprehensive dashboard featuring multiple service status indicators and detailed smart card information.
Service Indicators
The service status indicators provide at-a-glance information about the current state of key system components:
- Green icons - Services running correctly
- Yellow icons - Warning or transitional state
- Red icons - Critical issue requiring immediate attention
The application monitors multiple services simultaneously:
- API connectivity
- Security element status
- Network availability
Smart Card Information
The smart card information section displays critical details about your fiscal certificate:
- Certificate Validity Period - Start and expiration dates of your certificate
- Card Serial Number - Unique identifier of your smart card
- Remaining Signature Capacity - Number of signatures available before audit is required
- Card Status - Current operational status of the security element
This information allows you to monitor the overall health and operational status of your SoftSDC installation at a glance.
Status Monitoring
API Service Status
Shows whether the API service is running and accessible for receiving fiscalization requests from your POS system.
Security Element Status
Indicates the connection status with your smart card and the operational state of the security element.
